Dear Colleagues,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to invite you to participate in the 11th Scientific and Training Conference of the Polish Society for Vascular Surgery which will take place on 3–5 October 2019 in Bydgoszcz.

The past 30 years have brought dramatic changes in the field of vascular surgery, with a shift from conventional, open-surgery techniques towards intravascular revascularization methods, the replacement of old-technology operating rooms with new, spacious hybrid operating rooms, and a different approach and training methods for the new generation of vascular surgeons. Our community is actively involved in all of these processes and, most importantly, these advancements have by now made their way into many places around the country.

This year’s meeting of our Society closely follows this trend towards progress and modernity in vascular surgery.  Our eminent speakers invited from Poland and abroad will guarantee the high scientific and educational standard of the Conference, while the diverse range of sessions should satisfy everyone who decides to come and join us in Bydgoszcz.

Let me then take this opportunity to invite all those interested in the matters of vascular surgery and vascular diseases, to celebrate this discipline in the friendly city of Bydgoszcz which will host our meet.

See you in the City on the Brda River,

Prof. Arkadiusz Jawień

President of the Polish Society for Vascular Surgery
